THE FOUR SEASONS OF NYC

A beautiful and amazing aspect of the city of New York is the changing of the seasons. This large and populated city has weather and activities that change with all four seasons of the year. Unlike some cities that have on and off seasons, New York City is a must-see tourist attraction all year long.

The frigid yet sparkling beautiful winter months have much to offer when you visit New York City. The large and elegant Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center is a wondrous sight to see for everyone, even those that do not celebrate Christmas. Ice skating is a fun, graceful, and romantic winter activity. In New York City, you can not only ice skate, but you can ice skate at Rockefeller Center. To escape from the cold winter weather, you can take in a Broadway musical or watch the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. During the day you can walk the streets and get all of your holiday shopping out of the way. And, of course, don’t forget the breath-taking holiday windows displays everywhere you turn. If you are in New York City on New Year’s Eve, you can take on the crowds and join the party to watch the ball drop in Times Square.

Spring is a wonderful time of the year. The weather is changing and is no longer cold, but isn’t unbearably hot and humid. Flowers are blooming, the trees are starting to fill with leaves, and love is in the air. Springtime is an excellent time of the year to visit a flea market, stop by and enjoy a street fair, and take a leisurely and calm stroll through Central Park. All kinds of festivals and flower shows can be found scattered throughout this exciting city.

Summertime in New York City is an exciting time. The schools are out, the pools are open, and the sun is shining brightly in the beautiful blue sky. You can visit a rooftop bar for a cocktail, attend an outdoor concert, movie or another event, and spend the day in Central Park people watching. Celebrations are all over, free concerts and movies are playing, you can catch Shakespeare in the Park, and you can dine outside on restaurant patios. The Bronx Zoo is a fun, exciting, and education place to go for the entire family, and Coney Island is full of fun and thrilling rides and attractions.

Fall is a beautiful, colorful, cool, and crisp season in New York City. The leaves and foliage are transforming from a beautiful green color to right and vivid reds, oranges, and yellows. Central Park is stunning and beautiful, and the weather has cooled so you can take a long, leisurely walk through the park. Take a cruise on a yacht or take your sailboat out on the water to enjoy the cook breeze and a stunning view of the brilliant colors before it gets too cold. New York City is a magical city full of bright lights that are fun and exciting every time of the year.
