The Bellagio Fountains

One of the most popular attractions in Las Vegas is the Bellagio Fountains. Located at the front of the Bellagio Hotel and casino. Combining light, music and of course water from about 1000 fountains, to create a choreographed display that proves to be a sight and sound spectacular. Shows start at 3pm weekdays, 12pm on Saturdays and holidays and 11am on Sundays. Finishing at midnight every night.

The Stratosphere Tower

Standing 1,149 ft. over Las Vegas is the Stratosphere Tower. The tallest of its kind in the United States. Originally designed to be over 1800 ft. but due to concerns that it would interfere with the nearby airport, it was reduced in size. There is a revolving restaurant at the top known as the Top of the World as well as two observation decks. For the thrill seekers, there are a variety of thrill rides from the rooftop to experience as well.

The Famous Las Vegas Signs

A must see attraction on the Las Vegas Strip for one of your “I was here” holiday photo moments. The Western Neon Company erected this iconic sign in 1959. The Welcome to fabulous Las Vegas sign has become a famous landmark.

Another also being ‘Vegas Vic’, the unofficial name for the iconic neon cowboy sign that was erected in 1951 outside what was then known as the Pioneer club. The sign can still be found there today on 25 E Freemont Street, which is now a souvenir shop.

The Old Las Vegas Mormon Fort

Learn about the conservative history of Las Vegas and how it was once a very different place to the Sin City that it is known by today. Built by William Bringhurst and missionaries in 1855. Open from 8:00am to 4:30pm Tuesday through to Saturday with admission of $1 it’s a definite must see.

The Strip

It’s what Las Vegas is famous for. Stretching for about 4.2 miles, the Las Vegas strip is located just south of the city limits and is heavily populated with casinos, bars, hotels and restaurants. Nineteen of the world’s 25 largest hotels by room count are on the Strip, with a total of 67,000 rooms here. And with its bustling nightlife, stage shows, gambling and other entertainment, there is always something to see and do.

High Roller Ferris Wheel

Just off the Strip is the huge High Roller Ferris wheel. Standing at 550 feet high, it gives you the opportunity to take in the glittering spectacle of Las Vegas and its outstanding views. Each cabin can hold up to 40 people and takes 30 minutes for one full rotation of the wheel.

Hoover Dam

A definite must-see marvel of engineering while in Nevada. Located in the Black canyon of the Colorado River between the border of Arizona and Nevada. Originally known as Boulder Dam, it was constructed between 1931 and 1936 and was dedicated on September 30, 1935 by President Franklin Roosevelt. Often seen as a backdrop in various movies such as Transformers etc.
